Attractive Porvoo

DURATION OF EXCURSION: BUS TRIP ABOUT ONE HOUR DEPENDING ON THE PLACE OF DEPARTURE + 2,5 HOURS IN PORVOO + RETURN BY WATERBUS WHICH TAKES ABOUT 4 HOURS

This cruise package is designed to make you forget your worries in the attractive and quaint town of Porvoo which has a colourful and interesting history. The day will climax with a waterbus cruise back to Helsinki.

We can arrange the departure for the Porvoo excursion for anywhere in Helsinki, Espoo or Vantaa. A charter bus will call for your group. The journey to Porvoo takes about an hour. In Porvoo, one or two guides will be waiting for you (depending on the size of your group) and you will first go to Café Helmi to have a pastry called Runeberg’s tart with a cup of coffee or tea. The best way to see Old Porvoo is a guided walking tour, which you will take after the coffee. You will hear about the town’s history and see how history and modern life blend creating a unique atmosphere. You will admire historical buildings and hear interesting stories about the past. During the guided tour you will also visit Holm's House, where you will get an opportunity to see how a wealthy Porvoo merchant family lived at the end of the 18th century. If your group wishes, you will also have time to visit the Brunberg chocolate store.

After the guided tour, a waterbus will be waiting for you at the riverside. A buffet full of delicious food will be served to you. The cruise back to Helsinki can start and while admiring the scenery, there will be plenty of time for you to enjoy delicious food and resfreshing drinks. The cruise ends at the Helsinki Market Square about about four hours later.
