OTHER OBSERVATIONS:

  • Children under the age of 4 accompanied by an adult travel for free, and we have space for prams onboard our vessels.
  • Persons travelling with a Pensioner- or Student ticket need to prove eligibility for the concession ticket (i.e. a pensioner-card or student-card).
  • We do not unfortunately transport bikes to Korkeasaari, with the exception of kick-bikes and bicycles of children under the school-age. These are also permitted in the zoo area (excluding special events).
  • Taking pets to Korkeasaari is forbidden. The whole zoo is a quarantined area, so guide- and support dogs are unfortunately not permitted on the zoo premise either.
  • Familiarise yourself with the zoo etiquette prior to visiting >>
  • Our vessels on the Korkeasaari route are accessible, and you can board our vessels with both manual- and electric wheelchairs. You can find more information about accessibility at Korkeasaari itself over here >>
  • There is no passage from the Korkeasaari ferry pier to Mustikkamaa without a valid zoo ticket!

Preserving the unique nature of our archipelago is important to us, and our vessels operating on this route are solely fuelled with
renewable fuel oil. As pioneers we want to take part in developing low-emission solutions. By using renewable fuel oil we reduce our carbon footprint on the route in question by up to 90% compared to fossil fuels.

We recommend arriving at the Market Square by public transport, if possible. You can find more information in HSL’s Journey Planner >>
