The Silo Sings! Ferry connection from Helsinki Market Square to the Silo in Kruunuvuorenranta 7.-9.10.2022
Pause for a moment and taste the stardust. Paint in your mind’s eye the most beautiful flock of birds and see how it looks and sounds. Where did they come from and where does the flock go from here?

JT-Line’s waterbus m/s Chapman will operate scheduled departures between Helsinki Market Square and Kruunuvuorenranta from Friday till Sunday 7.-9.10.2022: during this time Kruunuvuorenranta will play host to it’s third and final open day event in the old oil tank, Silo 468, in Siilo Soi! – The Silo Sings – an art installation event combining sounds and lights. The art installation ”Ipnos – Lintujen kuiske” (Ipnos – The whisper of birds), housed in the old oil container, can be experienced inside and outside of the container between 17-22 o’clock.
The birds are released by sound and light towards the embrace of the urban sky in a dream world built into an old oil tank, where the laws of physics differ from the outside world.
Ipnos is the finale of the Siilo Soi (Silo Sings) trilogy, which has brought not only light but also sound to the Silo 468 landscape work in Kruunuvuorenranta in two previous autumns. The series originated from the pandemic-driven need to bring art outdoors to be enjoyed safely..
