Accessibility:
The paddlewheel ship Vispilä is accessed via a gangway, which is 84 cm wide. There are small thresholds at both ends of the gangway, which are over 2 cm high. The ship also has a separate 183 cm long and 74 cm wide wheelchair ramp, which can be used in conjunction with the actual gangway if necessary to make the passageway between the ship and the pier more gentle.
The ship’s interior is on one level, so there is plenty of space for moving around with a mobility aid, and the assistance device also allows access to the bar service counter and table. The ship also offers barrier-free access to the toilet. There is 30 cm of free space to the left of the toilet seat and 55 cm to the right. The toilet door has a door pump and no horizontal pull.
A personal assistant arriving with the person being assisted can board the cruise free of charge, if the person being assisted has an A-mark on their card. There is no need to reserve a seat separately for the assistant.

Responsibility
Preserving the unique nature of our archipelago is important to us, and our vessel operating on this cruise is solely fuelled with renewable fuel oil. As pioneers we want to take part in developing low-emission solutions. By using renewable fuel oil we reduce our carbon footprint on the route in question by up to 90% compared to fossil fuels.
We recommend arriving at the Market Square by public transport, if possible. You can find more information in HSL’s Journey Planner >>
